Dewberry’s Rahul Parab Selected as One of Engineering News-Record New York’s 2017 Top Young Professionals

Engineering News-Record New York has recognized Rahul Parab, PE, CFM, D.WRE, an assistant department manager in Dewberry’s New York, New York, office, as one of its Top Young Professionals for 2017.

Parab is a member of the firm’s water resources group with more than 15 years of engineering experience in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure for coastal and riverine projects. His expertise includes hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, environmental permitting, and flood studies.

Parab currently serves as the resilience group director, participating as either a project manager or in a leading technical role for key resilience projects. His leadership in the resilience area is instrumental in realizing the long-term protection of communities throughout the region for projects such as the Rebuild by Design Hudson River for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Oakwood Beach Flood Attenuation Feasibility Study for the New York State Office of General Services.

Parab earned his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Mumbai University. He has been awarded Diplomate, Water Resources Engineering by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers.
