Atkins has been appointed by EDF Energy to its Technical Support Alliance Agreement (TSAA) covering EDF Energy’s (CGR) coal, gas and renewables assets in the UK.

Atkins joins the CGR TSAA as one of its strategic partners, building upon the successful TSAA Atkins has in place with EDF Energy for its nuclear portfolio in the UK. The alliance framework encompasses all conventional and renewable generating assets, and consolidates Atkins’ engineering offering to one of its major clients.

David Few, market lead for conventional power in Atkins’ Energy UK & Europe business, said: “We’ve drawn on a wide range of experience from across the business to secure this appointment with EDF Energy. It was crucial to demonstrate the depth of Atkins’ engineering capabilities, innovation and technical excellence, and we’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with EDF Energy.”

Alongside expertise from Atkins’ Energy business, skills from the wider Atkins group will be utilised to support EDF Energy in operating, maintaining and developing their assets.
