WSP Global continues to perform in fiscal year 2016 and delivered strong results for its third quarter.

The company announced revenues of $1,552.5 million and net revenues of $1,189.8 million for the three months ending September 24, 2016. The 3.3% and 5.8% growth, compared to the third quarter of last year, are mainly due to acquisitions.

“This performance once again demonstrates the strength of our business model based on geographical and sector diversification, and was accomplished despite the challenges in the Canadian region,” said Alexandre L’Heureux, President and CEO.

WSP Global will aim to continue to expand its global presence and deepen its technical expertise. The company has added 2,500 employees across the globe. “The recent acquisition of Mouchel Consulting is consistent with this objective and we are pleased to welcome our new colleagues to the team,” said Alexandre L’Heureux.

At the end of the quarter, the backlog was at $5,371.2 million, representing 10.3 months of revenues. That number was up $479.6 million or 9.8% compared to the same time-period of last year.
