Dewberry has been selected by the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) to manage and design a widening of State Road 417 from the Econlockhatchee (Econ) Trail overpass to the Orange/Seminole county line.

In addition to designing the roadway widening, ramp modifications, and bridges, Dewberry will provide field survey, maintenance of traffic, and stormwater management design. The existing roadway will be resurfaced and widened approximately two miles for three general use lanes in each direction.

“Our staff is thrilled to once again serve CFX,” said Don Hammack, associate vice president at Dewberry and assistant project manager. “Our high-speed limited access facility design experience and understanding of the client’s vision gives us a thorough understanding of the project’s challenges and solutions. We look forward to improving the level of service with a higher capacity roadway.”

Dewberry recently completed the airport toll plaza conversion on State Road 528 and a section of Wekiva Parkway for CFX.
