As HDR continues to grow its health program, we’ve added Sarah Carpenter to the team as a business development director for the southern region of the United States. Working closely with the regional director, Sarah will develop leads, coordinate proposals and formulate business development strategies to strengthen and expand HDR’s health program in the South.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Sarah join our business development team,” says Peter de la Mora, regional business development director. “She is strategic, calculated and competitive, making her a valuable asset to growing our business. Her commitment to forming meaningful, quality relationships with clients will help us advance our health program even further in the southeast.”

Sarah has extensive experience driving revenue and establishing new business within the architecture, engineering and construction industries. Using her unique analytical skills, Sarah will perform market segment analysis and research, as well as build strategic action plans to target and pursue potential opportunities. In addition, she will leverage our existing relationships in the local area to drive revenue and sales growth. She will also utilize her leadership skills to manage and coach pursuit teams on developing opportunity positioning strategies, performing competitive analysis and overseeing the creation of the qualification, proposal and presentation materials in order to win work.

Sarah is most looking forward to building meaningful relationships that fully engage clients, and providing solutions to their most pressing issues. “I’m excited to be able to work with such a highly respected firm that houses some of the most skillful and creative professionals in the industry,” Sarah says. “Matching up the right teams and the right experience with our client’s needs is crucial to our success.”

Her naturally curious mind allows her to understand what motivates clients in order to develop a strategy to address their most pressing issues. Few things are more rewarding to her than developing meaningful and long-term relationships with clients, understanding what their main issues and challenges are and working with the team to exceed their expectations through world-class customer service.

Sarah joins HDR’s office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
